Title: World War I St. Louis Commemorative Lighter

Description: World War I commemorative lighter presented to members of the 35th Division, St. Louis upon their return to St. Louis in 1919. Rectangular bronze lighter with the statue of St. Louis on one side and allegorical figures representing the United States and France on the other. Inscribed "St. LOUIS TO THE FRONT" and "FROM A GRATEFUL CITY TO HER GALLANT SONS" Presented to August Rausendorf for his service during the war. This is probably either from 1949.78 or 1936.8, two donations that include a lighter of this type that is currently unaccounted for.
