Description: Contains two letters of John Coleman, Jr., to Lossing, dated April 11 and 30, 1862, and a typescript copy of his article titled “The Riots of St. Louis—1861," which discusses the capture of Camp Jackson and clashes between soldiers and civilians in St. Louis on May 11 and June 17, 1861; three letters of C.D. Drake to Lossing, dated November to December 1864, in which he offers to assist with his research on the capture of Camp Jackson; and a brief letter of Franklin A. Dick to Lossing, dated August 7, 1865.
