Title: B284: Military pass (photocopy) of F.M. Johnson, September 2, 1864

Description: Pass granted to F.M. Johnson, principal musician, 135th Illinois Infantry, at St. Louis. Back of pass reads, “If found on Almond Street under any circumstances, in any low saloon where “beer jerkers” (low women) are kept, dance house, or house of ill-fame, this Pass will be taken up, and the holder thereof arrested, imprisoned, and reported by the Officer of the Guard, at these Head Quarters.”
