Title: U. S. Flag Association Medal Awarded to Charles Lindbergh

Description: Bronze medal known as the U.S. Flag Association Medal of Honor awarded to Charles Lindbergh by the Flag Association June 12, 1927. It was the first medal of its kind ever awarded making Lindbergh a lifetime member and gave him the title "Supreme Knight of the Flag." All others are given the titles of "Knight" or "Lady of the Flag." Medal was accompanied by a scroll now housed in Archives. Bronze medal; bar pin has relief map of US; blue, white and red ribbon holds medal of wreath over cross with letters on arms; center has eagle with enamel shield & star field in circle.
