Title: Medal Given to Charles Lindbergh by the Detroit Coin Club

Description: This silver medal, bearing a relief bust of Charles Lindbergh on the obverse, was awarded to Lindbergh by the Detroit Coin Club, August 11, 1927 while Lindbergh was visiting during his 48 State Tour. The obverse was designed was by Jacques VanGoor of Holland, Carl J. A. Beeger, also of Holland, designed the reverse. The medal was made by the Royal Beeger in Voorschoten, Holland. Bronze copies of the medal were sold through the Detroit Coin Club for $2.50 each while Lindbergh was in Detroit.
