Title: Marble Bust of Joseph Pulitzer, Sr. by Auguste Rodin

Description: White marble bust of renowned journalist, publisher and philanthropist Joseph Pulitzer Sr., founder of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. The portrait, created by Rodin near the end of Pulitzer's life shows him with full beard and bare shoulders. Pulitzer was blind by this time in his life and Rodin depicts this by showing his subject's eyes nearly closed.
