[Canal] Street. Had a bath, called at Webers, to Gurneys for a sketch of [P.T.] Barnum, then to dinner. Back. Reveille drawing on wood at evening. Davis here. / Alf [Waud] and Lockington doing all the drawing for [Joe] Scoville’s “Pick.” Alf working down stairs at Swinton & Faye.

4 12. Friday. Down town to breakfast. After returned, took Reveille drawing to [Cornelius] Mathews — to the Reveille Office, Lantern, lunched &c. Then to Mathews again. Thence to Brooklyn, across the Atlantic St Ferry. Called at Dunsiers, he back with me over Fulton ferry. Left him & to Lantern Office Found all the fellows there. Got $10 from [Joseph] Woodward. Called in at Lockingtons. He has now a room in the Lantern building)
