Gentlemen

I desire to solicit your influence upon behalf of the bearer Dr Bluthardt formerly Surgeon of the 23c Mo Vols. He has lately resigned for Disability, caused by reasons he can explain to you. I desire to recommend him for a position in the Invalid Corps. having full confidence in his ability and capacity. He was one of our best Surgeons. Should it be in your power to assist him in any manner. You will have done that which will be for the good of the service.
