Dr Bluthardt

the bearer of this who has just resigned his position as Surgeon of 23c Mo Vol Infy

(now stationed at McMinnville Tenn) makes his application for appointment in the Invalid corps. for which service he is fit. as expressed in the order accepting his resignation. or if that is not possible. he seeks a place as Surgeon of Vols.

I desire to reccomend him as in every respect. worthy of the confidence of the Government. He stood while in the service. very high upon the list of Surgeons from Missouri

If there is any place to which he can be assigned. I feel certain that if he accepts it. he will fill it with honor [and] credit
