Description: Tells Eliot that he is sure the Convention will pass an Emancipation Ordinance, and even though it may not be exactly as he, Eliot, and other advocates of freedom wish in terms of speediness of operation, it will still be a success because the principle will be settled; says that Missouri will be a free state and expresses his confidence in Missouri's ability to adjust to the change.
