Dear Sir

In obedience to your request and on the part of my sisters-in-Law Mrs Martha R. Little and Georgiana A. Steen, I inclose you herewith the autograph of their respective husband.

Mrs: Little desires me to say to you, but for the temporary absence from the city of her sister, Mrs: Steen, your request would have been complied with sooner, his autograph having been forwarded to her from Baltimore, Md: and recd: here to day.

In a few days she hopes to be able to forward you the autograph of Genl: John S. Bowen

I am very

Respectfully

Your obdt servt

Genl:Little’s remains were removed from the grave on the battlefield of Iuka, Mississippi, and reinterred in the Greemount Cemetery, Baltimore, Md: where they now lie surrounded by unostentatious shaft placed there by his wife. Genl: Steen’s remains now lie interred in the national Graveyard at Fort Smith, Arkansas, whence they were taken from Battlefield called Prairie Grove, where he fell. Over his remains and those of Genl Macintosh a movement has been erected by their comrade-in-arms
