Dear Brother one time more I take up my pen to drop you a few lines to let you know how I am a geting on I am not well at this time I have bin sick since I wrote to you but I am up and about and now I am a nursing and I hope that when this comes to hand it may find you in yore usual health I recieved yore letter of the 17th three or four days ago and was glad to hear that you was so well I have nothing new to write to you I have not heard from home since I wrote to you before I dont know what is the reason I fear that something is wrong well I have about give out trying to go to my regiment I dont expect that they have reinlisted and if they have not their time would be out by the time that I would get to them and so it is no use of me a going I think that I will be mustered out with them if I do I am then a going home for a while any how

I wish that you could get discharged I should like for you to be out as soon as I am I think that the war will be over before a great while any how well dear Brother I will now come to a close for the present I hope to see you at home before long but if I should not meet you on earth let us try and meet in heaven where there will be no more parting write often as you can I remain yore afescionate Brother untill death
