Description: Describes the aftermath of the war. "…The Missouri Troops are now the only organized body of troops remaining on this side of the river, all the other commands have disbanded, and gone home. The Missourians have determined to stick together and surrender themselves like brave men and soldiers and I feel proud of it. I believe we will get better terms and be more respected than if we had disbanded and sneaked off like Cowards…" Includes typed transcription.
