According to Youer Dispatch, I just now rec, I am happy to hear from You all being well, and in as good humor as we are here, only, that I, the Mayor & the most of the Boys rather be about Your Region also, if my Post will be garrisond by a few Co of Ill troops. The Mayor had to leave me with Co: H & G for Uhrich’s Cave[Uhrig’s Cave] came to tak Post the 20th inst: & cam: the other 125 men left of 4th Regt: Every thing very [word unclear]. Mrs White is in good spirit. Tomorrow I will see Col: Blair. If possible I will have a camp of Dragoons attached to ouer Regts. The 2 Regt shooting at the Police Officers adjoining House from where the[y] were Shot upon, killed about 6. One of the Capt of 2 Regt got slightly hurt No further trouble
