You will detach from your command Lt. Col. White with Two Hundred men to embark on board the Steam Boat D.A. January at a near the foot of Washington Avenue at 5 o’clock this P.M.

This force will act as a guard for the Boat and the Commanding officer will repo[r]t to the Officer in Command at Jefferson City for further o[r]ders
