[De]ar Mother,


I have written to Georgia several times, since bereavement urging upon her the necessity of coming [page cut, word missing] flag of truce to Little Rock — She must come, her [word missing] is needed when she reaches Little Rock — by making [word missing] of the Chief Commissary there, she will find out [word missing] we are and we shall join her and the babes — all will [word missing] for her comfort, after she reaches us I hope my letters [word missing] her and that his may also get to you — My anxiety is [word missing] my dear mother about father and my sisters, I long [word missing] all once more, hope and pray the day is not far [word missing] we shall all be together — Yet G. comfortable, and [word missing] on — she must come — it is very warm and pleasant [word missing] so far — My Love to dear Mat — and tell her, she has our sympathies — o Dear mother how I would like to write a long [word missing] Adieu God-bless you all —
