Dear husband

i now Seat myself to write you a few lines in order to let you know that we are all well and hope that when these few lines comes to hand that they may find you enjoying the same health i have not received no more letters from you yet i have received four letters from you and this is my fifth one that i have written to you i heard that you was ordered back to St louis but did not know whether it to be true or not i have nothing of much importance to write more than Mary Stevens is Dead i would like to See you very much i will bring my letter to a Close give my best respects to all inquiring friends and recive the same yourself So no more but remain your affection wife untill Death
