Mr. P. L. Powers

Dear husband

i now Seat myself to inform you that we are all well at the present time and hope that when these few lines Comes to hand they may find you enjoying the Same health i received your letter of the 1st and 4 which gave me great pleasure to heare from you you wanted to know in your letter how we was getting along we are getting along pretty well considering every thing you wanted to know how whether Alexander Barret had moved over or not he has not moved over yet he Come over to work and taken Sick with the mesles and had to go home though he allows to move over if he can get that house that Mrs. Good lives in this is my fourth letter that i have wrote to you but i did not get but one of them of i Sent two to Sam Jackson to take to Pilot knob but he had done gone and my letters Came back to me i have nothing of much importance to write to except the Death of old Price it is paper news here Doe Raney is moving on that Palace that you was talking of buying i would like to know a little about what you told me about when you Started on that Scout below about your business at Pilot knob i believe i will bring my letter to a Close So no more at present but remain your true wife untill Death
