Assteamed Father [and] Mother


I seat my self With much plesure to write you a few lines to let you know that I am tolrable well at present onley I have been enjoying very good helth all this summer untell about the 1st of this month I taken an a notion that I would like like to go in a swimming so I went in and I supose I stayed in a little too long and caught coald so I have been very unwell ever since though I am under the care of one of the best Surgeons in the City of Philla so you need not be any ways uneasy about me it is only a slite ca coald that I have taken Dear Father I have no news of Importance to Write at present any more than you need not write to me any more untell you hear from me agane for I shall leave here in a few days the Probility is that we will be mustered out before long so you can look for me home sume of those days though maby not untell fall as I have a speculation in view if I stay in the East untell fall if I make up my mind to stay I will let you know all about it as soon as I find it out my self so no more at present I am as Ever Your son
