Title: Valiant Men Dat Fight Mit Siegel, August, 1861. (Plate 14).

Description: Print of Union soldiers burning down a home while a woman on her knees pleads with two Union officers including General Franz Sigel (arms akimbo) in the foreground. There is a small child holding a baby while hanging out of a window in the background. The lithograph was one of twenty pro-Confederate political cartoons printed by Adalbert J. Volck in 1864 and published under the pseudonym V. Blada as "V. Blada's War Sketches." Alternate title for the print is "Valiant Men 'Dat Fite Mit Siegel.'"
