Description:

Horizontal, black and white photograph showing row houses at 1713-1721 North 9th Street. The houses are two-story brick buildings, although several have third-floor dormer windows. A man is walking along the sidewalk near the left edge of the photo and several cars are parked along the curbs. William S. Burroughs, inventor of the Adding Machine and founder of Burroughs Adding Machine Company, lived at 1715 North 9th Street in 1884.

A handwritten note on the back of the prints reads: "1715 North 9th Street / Wm S Burroughs famous inventor of adding machine lived here in 1884.
