Description: Top half of the image includes soldiers, horses, and cannons. Most of the soldiers are sleeping on the ground, one is standing on top of a small rise with a bugle or trumpet, two are seated by a campfire, and several appear to be waking up and stretching. The bottom half of the image features a camp with tents where five soldiers are playing drums and other instruments. One soldier is standing to the left of the musicians with a rifle over his shoulder. "Copy-righted 1876 by E. Forbes." and "PLATE 1." (printed below image). "Tattoo." (written below image).
