The barber shop, at 1834 14th Street, is in a single-story wood-sided building with a long front porch. A man is standing on the porch and another man leans next to a window reading: "Joe Frank Barber Shop". A striped barber's pole sits at the corner of the fenced-in front yard. To the right of the barbershop are one and two-story brick buildings at 1838-1842 14th Street, probably residences. A woman and a young girl are walking down the sidewalk in front of the buildings.
