Description: Full-length portrait of a man in uniform leaning on a chair. "Chas Haenny [?] Capt. Comp. G to Ernst. Wierpel [Wurpel] Capt. Comp. F." (written on reverse side of image). Hoenny first served as 1st lieutenant, Co. G, 3rd Missouri Infantry before joining Co. D, 43rd Illinois Infantry as a captain (making his inscription somewat confusing).. Ernst. Wierpel [Wurpel] was with the 113th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment (digital soldier records).
