Title: Storefronts at 1525 South Broadway, before wrecking, 3 July 1940.

Description: Storefronts at 1525 South Broadway, before wrecking, 3 July 1940. The commercial district along South Broadway was once a busting streetscape, featuring merchandise displays on the sidewalk. It was so busy it was often likened to an outdoor market. By the 1950 marketing and sales had changed and customers no longer shopped on city sidewalks. The area along South Broadway declined, with only a few stores remaining, clustered together.
