Title: John W. Jameson Collection: Louisiana Purchase Exposition

Description: John W. Jameson (1882-1939) by trade an artist and engraver, was an early camera enthusiast. The John W. Jameson Collection consists of 23 snapshots in a disbound album and three unmounted snapshots taken by John Jameson. Twenty-four of the photos, some of which are captioned, show the 1904 World's Fair. Many of the photos show the Japanese exhibit. Two of the photographs were taken in Forkville, Illinois. Subjects include: fountains; Fair Japan display; Japanese Bazaar; Japanese Tea Gardens; German building; Festival Hall; assembly hall; Palace of Manufacturers; LPE.
