Description:

Volume I consists primarily of newsclippings relating to World War I, as printed on the twentieth anniversary of the war's beginning. Volume II is titled "My Book of Knowledge, Interest and Progress and etc, 1938." This volume contains a brief biographical sketch of Burrell's mother and his family life, followed by "My Speeches of Remembrance" (twenty aphorisms); and clippings, some related to African-American schools in St. Louis.
